Political contacts intensify in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, PTI requests JUI for cooperation for CM candidate

Political activities regarding government formation have intensified in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. A delegation of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) reached the provincial headquarters of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) on Thursday, where an important meeting was held between the leaders of both parties.

According to details, the meeting was attended by PTI Provincial President Junaid Akbar, Irfan Saleem and other leaders, while JUI Provincial General Secretary Senator Maulana Atta-ul-Haq Darwish, Maulana Jalil Jan and other leaders.

According to sources, the PTI delegation requested JUI for cooperation in supporting CM candidate Sohail Afridi. The talks took place in a cordial atmosphere and both parties agreed to continue contacts for political stability.

Later, while talking to the media, PTI Provincial President Junaid Akbar said that the party wants to see the democratic process strengthened in the province. He said that an assembly session has been called for Monday in which the process of electing the Chief Minister will be completed.
