Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif is addressing the nation and informing in detail about the economic challenges facing the country. He is saying that a war situation is currently emerging in the Middle East, which is having an impact on the global economy.

The Prime Minister is saying that Pakistan is keeping a close eye on the situation in the region and efforts are being made at the diplomatic level for peace. He says that the entire region is currently facing an uncertain situation.

He strongly condemned the Israeli attacks on Iran and said that attacks on the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Azerbaijan and Bahrain are also unacceptable. The Prime Minister says that Pakistan considers the security of its friendly countries as its own security.

Shahbaz Sharif is also saying that Pakistan is facing terrorist threats on the western border. He said that the Pakistan Army under the leadership of Field Marshal is taking strong measures to defend the country.

The Prime Minister says that the price of crude oil in the global market is exceeding $100 per barrel. Since the price of oil is not determined by Pakistan at the global level, the government is having to increase the prices of petroleum products.

He said that the government is taking these decisions with a heavy heart, but the effort is to put the least burden on the people. He says that efforts are being made to keep the country’s economy stable despite the difficult circumstances.

The Prime Minister said that there is a possibility of further increase in oil prices in the coming days. That is why the government is adopting a policy of austerity.
