Lahore: Senior Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader and Senator Ali Zafar has said that all the cases filed against the PTI founder are a product of political revenge and the demands of justice are not being met against him.
Talking to the media, Ali Zafar said that “basic human rights are being violated. The PTI founder has made it clear that he will not come under any pressure and will fight the legal battle.”
He said that the PTI founder has been kept in a cramped room of 10 by 12 and is not allowed to meet anyone when the government so desires.
Ali Zafar said that four major cases, including Tosha Khana, Cypher, Iddat Mein Nikah, and Al-Qadir Trust, were filed only as a political revenge. He alleged that the Toshakhana case was heard in jail, the lawyer was not allowed to appear and the sentence was pronounced without evidence.
He further said that in the Cypher case too, he was prevented from appearing and the court itself appointed a lawyer and sentenced him. A sensitive personal issue like “marriage during Iddat” was also given a political colour.
He said that there was no clear evidence in the Al-Qadir Trust case, but still the sentence was given.
