Tokyo: Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz, while addressing the Pakistani community in Japan, has said that overseas Pakistanis are playing an important role in strengthening the country’s economy and it is time that their services are acknowledged.
On this occasion, she appreciated the sentiments of Pakistanis who congratulated her on winning the war with India and said that positive and encouraging news has started coming from Pakistan and more good news will be heard in the future.
Maryam Nawaz said that a few months ago, inflation was 38 percent, which has now come down to 3 percent under the PML-N government. She said that the Punjab government, with the cooperation of Japan, is working to bring modern technology in the sectors of cleanliness and environment in the province.
The Punjab Chief Minister said that “Soon, Punjab’s infrastructure will be of Japanese quality, medicines are available in hospitals, and the Shatra Punjab program is the biggest cleanliness project in the history of the province.”
She said that 150,000 jobs have been provided in the province, while the youth will directly benefit from electric buses, scholarships and laptop schemes.
