The Sindh government has announced a public holiday across the province on the death anniversary of former Prime Minister and Pakistan People’s Party leader Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto. An official notification has been issued by the provincial labor department in this regard.
According to the announcement, all government and semi-government offices in Sindh will remain closed on Saturday, December 27.
The holiday will be applicable in all districts of the province, so that the people can pay tribute to Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto.
It should be noted that Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto was martyred in a terrorist attack on December 27, 2007, after a Pakistan People’s Party rally in Rawalpindi. Her martyrdom is considered a tragic chapter in Pakistan’s political history.
Every year, various ceremonies, prayer gatherings, and references are held across Sindh on this occasion.
