Summer vacations extended in Punjab, schools to open on September 1

Lahore: Schools in Punjab will now open on September 1, 2025, instead of August 14.
In a statement issued from Lahore, Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat confirmed the extension of school vacations and said that this decision has been taken due to the intense heat and harsh weather.

He said that this decision was inevitable keeping in mind the health and safety of children. The new date will apply to all government and private schools.

It should be noted that the summer vacations were earlier scheduled for August 14, but the holidays have been extended following the recent increase in temperature and complaints from parents.
