The second phase of Government Hajj Scheme 2026 begins; applications should be submitted on the online portal of the Ministry of Religious Affairs

Islamabad: The Ministry of Religious Affairs has officially started the second phase of receiving applications for the Government Hajj Scheme 2026. In this phase, applicants can submit their applications through the official online portal of the ministry.

According to a spokesperson for the ministry, the collection of applications will continue till August 16 with the payment of the first installment of Hajj expenses. On this occasion, first-time applicants can also become part of this scheme. In addition, overseas Pakistanis can submit their applications through their close relatives or authorized representatives at designated banks in Pakistan; however, they will have to present a medical fitness certificate to the relevant institution upon their return home.

The ministry has warned that the process of receiving applications will be stopped as soon as the Hajj quota is completed, so pilgrims have been instructed not to wait for the last moment but to submit applications soon. The selection process will be computerized with complete transparency.

Furthermore, the ministry has made the application form, quota, and bank details available on its website to facilitate the pilgrims.
