New York: The peace resolution presented by Pakistan was unanimously approved in a special meeting held under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar at the United Nations Security Council. This is not only a diplomatic success for Pakistan but also a manifestation of trust in Pakistan’s peace-friendly stance around the world.
In his address, Ishaq Dar said that Pakistan is committed to implementing the UN Charter, and in view of the growing tension in the world, peaceful resolution of issues from a multilateral perspective is the need of the hour.
He stressed that the world should not ignore the humanitarian catastrophe in Palestine, where more than 58,000 testimonies are enough to shake the global conscience.
On this occasion, Ishaq Dar said that the basic principle of Pakistan’s foreign policy is based on state sovereignty, non-interference, and peaceful coexistence.
