Internet slowdown across Pakistan, PTCL and Nayatel confirm, Microsoft apps affected

Islamabad: Internet users across Pakistan are facing severe slowdowns and service disruptions, affecting business routines, online education, and office work.

Other service providers, including Netel and PTCL, have also confirmed disruptions in international internet traffic. Netel said in an email that the outage was due to technical and network congestion.

Microsoft services such as Outlook, OneDrive, and other cloud-based platforms were also reportedly affected. Several popular websites running on Cloudflare were completely down or slowed down.

Experts say the issue is not limited to Pakistan but also affects some servers and data routes internationally.

Internet companies have appealed to users for patience and cooperation and said that restoration work is underway, but it is not possible to determine the time of restoration.
