Islamabad: Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry has said that all possible resources are being provided to make the police force more effective and modern so that the law and order situation can be further improved.
Addressing a ceremony in Islamabad, he said that the sacrifices of the police are unforgettable. “The colors of the uniforms may be different, but their services and sacrifices are the same,” Talal Chaudhry said.
He said that the current government has made significant improvements in the salaries, martyrs’ packages and benefits of the police. The announcements made by the Prime Minister for the martyrs will be implemented soon.
The Minister of State said that the role of the police has been key in the war against terrorism, in which thousands of personnel have sacrificed their lives. He appreciated the sacrifice of the IG Islamabad and said that one of his eyes was lost in the performance of duty, they are the real heroes of the nation.
According to Talal Chaudhry, the rate of serious crimes in Islamabad has decreased by 50 percent and 90 percent of the accused involved in crimes have been arrested. He said that Islamabad Police is performing the best in the entire country
