Islamabad: Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry has said that the people of Balochistan understand the mutual relationship between Pakistan and the province well and a positive mindset for the country is developing among the youth.

He expressed these views during a special session with students in the ongoing internship program organized by ISPR, where he also answered the questions of students from Balochistan.

The DG ISPR said that the people of Balochistan are now themselves identifying terrorists and their facilitators, as they are also fed up with extremism. He said that operations are successful only when the people stand against terrorists.

He further said that “one person’s terrorism cannot be punished for the entire village or area, but if a citizen shelters a terrorist or hides explosives, he will have to face the consequences.”

Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif paid rich tribute to Major Muhammad Anwar Kakar Shaheed on this occasion, saying that he was a great son who brought hell to the terrorists in the Gwadar attack.

Referring to the education and development of the youth of Balochistan, the DG ISPR said that “the educated youth of Balochistan are becoming the masters of their own destiny.” He described Cambridge University graduates Samad Yar Jang, Shahzeb Rind and women serving as Deputy Commissioners of Balochistan as shining examples of this.
