Cybercrime agency releases list of 46 illegal apps

Islamabad: The National Cybercrime Investigation Agency has declared 46 apps illegal and has released their official list.

According to the announcement, these apps also include unregulated apps for illegal forex trading. It has been further stated that these apps were accessing users’ personal data and mobile numbers, which posed serious threats to the privacy and financial security of citizens.

The agency’s announcement said that on the request of cybercrime, the PTA will block all illegal apps so that the public can be protected from further harm.
