Atta Tarar: PTI founder still responsible in May 9 incidents and 190 million pound case

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information Atta Tarar has said that bail does not mean acquittal and the PTI founder is still legally responsible in the 190 million pound case. Talking to the media, he said that celebrating only on getting bail is incomprehensible, because the series of cases is still ongoing and the case is yet to reach its logical conclusion.

Atta Tarar clarified that the events of May 9 were a cause of concern for the entire country, and the PTI founder was the mastermind of that day. According to him, the PTI created an opportunity for enemy forces to take advantage by spoiling the situation. He said that other accused were also out on bail, but the nature of the actions of the PTI founder was the most serious.

The Federal Minister said that the PTI founder could not present any effective answer in his defense in the 190 million pound case, and was sentenced to 14 years in that case. He raised the question that if he was so well-intentioned, why was the Al-Qadir Trust formed.

Atta Tarar further said that PTI leaders are trying to mislead the nation by celebrating bail, but the public has already rejected their narrative. He stressed that the court has irrefutable evidence and every citizen should have faith in the legal process until the case reaches its logical conclusion.
