ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousuf has said that Ashra Rahmatul-Alameen (PBUH) is not just a religious event but an opportunity for training the youth and education and character building in the light of the Seerat-e-Nabawi (PBUH).
It was announced in a special meeting chaired by Sardar Muhammad Yousuf that the Ashra from 1st to 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal will be celebrated with great pomp and circumstance, and joint programs will be organized in colleges, universities and religious schools regarding the Seerat-e-Nabawi (PBUH). The Federal Minister said that these programs are an effective platform to expose the youth to the example of the Prophet (PBUH) and will help them in teaching them social values, ethics and principles of leadership.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs is also organizing the 50th International Seerat-e-Nabawi (PBUH) Conference in Islamabad, the theme of which is “State Responsibilities in the Education and Training of the Beneficial Use of Social Media in the Light of the Seerat-e-Nabawi (PBUH). The Federal Minister stressed that the state and educational institutions should take joint steps to teach the young generation the positive use of modern technology in education and training.
Sardar Muhammad Yousuf said that by following the example of the Prophet (peace be upon him), we can not only strengthen the religious but also the social, educational and family system, and provide opportunities for character building and moral training to the youth. He said that the Ashra Rahmatul-ul-Aalameen (peace be upon him) will be a practical lesson in ethics, love and service to humanity for the youth.
