An important decision has come out in the extraordinary meeting of PIA Holding Company regarding the national airline’s PECPL. The meeting unanimously approved that this department will be formally handed over to PECPL, a subsidiary of the Pakistan Air Force.
This transfer will be made under the “Scheme of Arrangement”, which will be implemented from May 1, 2025. This decision was approved by the shareholders of the holding company with complete unanimity.
The meeting was held in Islamabad on October 25, 2025, in which various proposals related to restructuring the PIA structure and improving technical matters were considered.
According to experts, this move is a positive development to improve efficiency and promote institutional transparency in the engineering department of the national airline.
