Results-based funding and public-private partnerships essential for poverty reduction, says Finance Minister

Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has said that results-based funding and public-private partnership models should be promoted to address the economic challenges facing Pakistan. He said that poverty eradication requires not just policy announcements but concrete economic measures.
Addressing the ceremony, the Finance Minister said that Pakistan is a country with a young population and if this potential is used in the right direction, economic development is possible. According to him, the Social Impact Financing Framework is a practical expression of this thinking.
Muhammad Aurangzeb said that under PSIB, special attention is being paid to including young women in the economic process, which is a positive and future-friendly step. He congratulated Newtech and the initial Steer Codel team on the launch of the framework.
The Finance Minister said that in the next phase, more results-based investments will be made and the government will expand partnerships with the private sector to achieve lasting economic improvement.
