Expensive New Year for LPG consumers: Ogra releases January prices

The new year is going to start with additional expenses for LPG consumers, as OGRA has officially announced the new LPG prices for January 2026.

According to the notification, the price of LPG per kg has been fixed at Rs 219.68, while an 11.8 kg domestic cylinder will now be available for Rs 2,592.19. The new prices will be effective from January 1.

According to the data, the price of LPG was significantly increased in December as well, and now the price increase for the second consecutive month is causing concern among consumers.

According to economists, the continuous increase in prices in the energy sector can also affect the overall inflation rate. They say that if LPG becomes more expensive as an alternative fuel, household expenses in urban areas will increase further, forcing the government to consider relief measures.
