Shab-e-Meraj Holiday Announced for Sindh Schools on January 17

The Sindh government has announced a holiday in schools across the province on the occasion of Shab-e-Miraj, under which all government and private educational institutions will remain closed on January 17.

A notification issued by the Sindh Education Department states that Shab-e-Miraj is a very important religious occasion for Muslims, on which worship, nawafil and special prayers are organized. For this reason, the government has decided to provide facilities to students and teachers.

The notification clarifies that the holiday will be limited to schools only, while a separate announcement is expected for colleges and universities.

On the other hand, several private schools have directly informed parents that educational activities will be suspended on Saturday.

According to education experts, educational holidays on religious occasions create spiritual awareness in children as well as have a positive impact on the family environment, which proves useful for their overall training.
