Ending tensions in the Middle East, Pakistan’s major diplomatic breakthrough and proposal for a peace conference

Pakistan has intensified its active diplomacy to dispel the clouds of war in the Middle East, under which hosting a high-level peace conference in Islamabad is being considered.

According to diplomatic sources, this potential conference is expected to be attended by top officials from the United States and Iran, with names like JD Vance and Mohammad Baqir Qalibaf under discussion.

Thanks to its balanced relations with both Tehran and Washington, Pakistan has emerged as a reliable mediator, which is performing the duty of transmitting behind-the-scenes messages given the sensitivity of direct negotiations.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has stressed the resumption of negotiations in his recent contact with the Iranian president, while according to unofficial information, the military leadership is also in contact at the international level to reduce tensions.

These efforts of Pakistan are also supported by Turkey and Egypt, the initial positive results of which have come in the form of a temporary pause in possible attacks on Iran.
