US announces further pressure on Iran, Trump reveals new strategy on Hormuz, nuclear program and negotiations

Donald Trump has reiterated his tough diplomatic and military stance against Iran, saying that the US will maintain pressure on Tehran and Iran will not be allowed to become a nuclear power. Talking to reporters at the White House, the US President said that the ongoing situation with Iran is an important issue for global security and that the US is doing the world a “great service” by dealing with this issue. He claimed that the strategy adopted against Iran has been successful and the US has achieved a “major military victory” in this matter.

According to him, the ongoing ceasefire with Iran has entered a sensitive phase at this time. Trump said that in negotiations with Iran, it has repeatedly happened that Iranian officials initially show willingness on many issues but later backtrack on their position.

He added that the United States waited for Iran’s response for several days, even though this response could have been given in a matter of minutes.

The US president made it clear that he was not under any pressure or anxiety on the Iran issue and that Washington has full confidence in its policy. He said that like the United States, there are different circles of thought within Iran, including moderate elements, while hardline groups also have influence.

Speaking on the situation in the Middle East, Trump described the Strait of Hormuz as very important for global trade and said that he was seriously considering the revival of the “Freedom Project”.

According to him, this project will not be limited to the protection of ships but can be used for the broader protection of sea routes in the region. However, he said that a final decision on the full revival of this project has not been made yet.

Trump also made an important claim regarding Iran’s nuclear program, saying that Iranian negotiators have admitted that they do not have the required technology to safely dispose of nuclear waste and that they will need American help for this purpose.

The US president said that the US will continue to exert economic, diplomatic and strategic pressure on Iran until a comprehensive agreement is reached.

According to him, Washington’s goal is to ensure stability in the region and global security. In a discussion about the Kurds, Trump said that the US had provided a large amount of weapons to Kurdish groups in the region so that they could play a role in protecting American interests, but later these weapons remained with these groups.

According to international affairs experts, the US president’s recent statements indicate a new phase of tension in Iran-US relations. Observers say that if there is progress in US projects related to the Strait of Hormuz, it could have an impact on the global oil market, Middle East politics and global diplomatic relations.

According to analysts, Iran’s nuclear program, regional security, and possible negotiations will remain important topics in global politics in the coming days.
