According to the White House, US President Donald Trump will arrive in the Chinese capital Beijing on Wednesday evening, where he will be given a grand official welcome. The visit is being seen as an attempt to improve relations between the world’s two largest economies and create new economic opportunities.
According to the spokesperson, the initial phase of the visit will include official protocol and meetings, while an official banquet will be held between the two countries on Thursday evening.
Top US and Chinese officials will participate in the occasion.The most important phase of the visit will be on Friday, when President Trump and the Chinese president will have a detailed meeting over tea, in which trade, investment and global affairs will be discussed.
The White House has said that progress is expected on the establishment of a joint trade board and investment board between the United States and China, which aims to strengthen bilateral economic relations. Agriculture, energy and other important economic sectors will also be discussed in the meetings.It has been further reported that President Trump will invite his Chinese counterpart to visit the United States.
China’s position on Iran and Russia in global affairs will also be discussed.
According to experts, this visit could be a precursor to significant changes in global trade and geopolitics.
