The Petroleum Division has issued a notification of new prices of petroleum products from September 25, under which the prices of petrol and diesel have been reduced.
According to the notification, after a reduction of 84 paise per litre in the price of petrol, the new price has been fixed at Rs 389.28 per litre.
High-speed diesel has also been reduced by Rs 2.63 per litre, after which its new price has become Rs 412.12 per litre.
After the price reduction, the per-litre prices of both the main petroleum products have decreased marginally. The prices of petrol and diesel are considered important for transport and business costs in the country, so a change in them can have an impact on various sectors.
The new prices will be effective from September 25.
