Attacks on food chains are unacceptable; strict action will be taken against attackers: Talal Chaudhry

State Minister for Interior Talal Chaudhry has said that protecting the lives and property of businessmen across the country is the first responsibility of the state. Addressing a press conference in Faisalabad, he revealed that around 20 attacks on foreign food chains have been reported across the country in recent days.

He said 12 FIRs were registered and 142 people were arrested in Punjab over the attacks, while 15 people were detained in the two incidents that took place in Islamabad. Talal Chaudhry said that the arrested people have started apologizing, but they will be dealt with strictly according to the law.

He added that no such incident has been reported across the country since yesterday, and all major political parties have declared themselves indifferent to these incidents. He said that the arrested people are unhappy with their actions and there is no room for those who disrupt the country’s law and order.
