Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s Walked Out in National Assembly

Islamabad: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) Maulana Fazlur Rehman walked out of the National Assembly expressing serious concerns over the government’s indifference in the House. He said that in such a critical situation, when the threat of aggression from India is looming, the absence and lack of seriousness of the government is unacceptable.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman said, “This was the time that the entire House would have been filled, the government would have given a befitting reply, but the entire front line is empty.” He further said that neither the Prime Minister, nor the Foreign Minister, nor any important minister was present in the House, who would have participated in the discussion on the current situation.

“India is dumping the debris of its failed security on Pakistan,” he said. “The entire nation is in a row to defend the motherland, India is dumping the debris of its failed security on Pakistan,” he added.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman emphasized that “the army can never fight alone, the entire nation is behind it, wars are fought with national unity, an effective political leadership should be behind it to fight the war, unfortunately that leadership does not exist in the country at present.”

Due to government indifference and the absence of key ministers in the House, Maulana Fazlur Rehman walked out of the House along with other members of his party. The Deputy Speaker assigned the task of persuading Maulana Fazlur Rehman and JUI members to Dr. Tariq Fazl.
