Pakistan responded to the Indian aggression with a joint press conference of the Deputy Prime Minister and DG ISPR.

ISLAMABAD – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry in a joint press conference explained Pakistan’s stance against Indian aggression. The DG ISPR revealed that India fired four missiles last night, of which only one landed in the Dinga area near the Pakistani border, while three missiles fell on India’s own territory and damaged its own military installations. He asserted that India’s blame game against Pakistan is just false propaganda aimed at misleading the international community.

The military spokesman further said that Pakistani forces have shot down 29 Indian drones, out of which four Pakistani soldiers were injured in a drone attack and three innocent civilians were martyred. Rejecting India’s claims, he said that India’s claim that it has attacked 15 places in Pakistan is completely false. In his words, “India should come out of the film world and face reality.”

Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar made it clear that Pakistan did not attack any civilian areas of Indian Punjab but showed strategic restraint as a responsible state. He said a number of Indian drones violated Pakistani airspace, including one that unsuccessfully tried to target military installations in Lahore. The foreign minister proudly announced that Pakistani forces had shot down five Indian warplanes.

Ishaq Dar warned that Pakistan had the right to self-defense and would respond to Indian aggression at a time and place of its choosing. According to him, the Pakistani armed forces are fully alert and ready to give a befitting reply to any adventurism. He appealed to the people to remain calm, as the Pakistan Army is fully prepared to defend the country. Praising the performance of the Pakistan Air Force, he said that our Shaheen pilots have successfully fought 80 Indian fighter jets.
