ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that unresolved issues have plagued the region for a long time, and the time has come for peaceful resolution of these issues to ensure lasting stability and development in South Asia.
We thank President Donald Trump for his leadership and his proactive role for peace in the region. He said the role played by the US Vice President and Secretary of State for peace in South Asia is also commendable.
We have accepted this outcome in the larger interest of peace and stability in the region, and this development marks a new beginning towards the resolution of these long-standing issues, giving hope to the people of the region for lasting peace.
