Development expenditure in the first four months is Rs 330 billion, the government’s PSDP budget is Rs 1,000 billion

The government of Pakistan, while maintaining the continuity of investment in development projects, has released funds worth Rs 330 billion in the first four months of the current fiscal year. According to the Ministry of Planning, this amount was released for the development projects of various ministries and divisions.

The statement said that a total of Rs 53.93 billion was spent on projects of various ministries, while Rs 20.17 billion was spent on projects of the National Highway Authority (NHA). In the energy sector, an amount of Rs 1.86 billion was allocated for projects of the Power Division and NTDC.

According to the spokesperson, a budget of Rs 1,000 billion has been allocated for the Public Sector Development Program (PSDP) for the financial year 2025, which includes major infrastructure, energy and social welfare projects.

According to economists, continuity in development spending will boost the country’s economic activities and accelerate infrastructure projects.
