The Director General of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) of the Pakistan Army, Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, has revealed that the main target of the recent operation in Kabul was an important drone depot, in addition to ammunition and weapons stores of the Afghan Taliban. While talking to a private media channel, he said that the explosions caused by the destruction of this depot were witnessed by the entire city.

The DG ISPR clarified that this step has been taken in response to 53 attacks on Pakistani check posts by the Afghan Taliban. He termed the claims of civilian casualties as mere false propaganda, saying that Taliban fighters often wear civilian clothes and are using drug addicts for suicide attacks. He said that India is directly behind the terrorism coming from Afghanistan, and the drones provided to the Afghan Taliban are also coming from India.

According to Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, Pakistan has so far struck 81 different locations and infrastructure of the terrorists, after which the terrorists and their facilitators are now reluctant to spend the night in one place or another. He further said that 44 check posts of the Afghan Taliban regime have been captured during this operation. His position regarding the talks was very tough; he said that until the terrorists are handed over to Pakistan and their centres in Afghanistan are eliminated, there is no point in talks.

The Pakistan Army spokesperson emphasised that the Afghan Taliban will now have to decide whether the TTP terrorists are important to them or peace with Pakistan. He also said that more than 200 intelligence-based operations are being conducted in Pakistan daily and the reduction in smuggling has severely damaged the financial network of terrorists. Finally, he clarified that terrorists are taking the help of Indian accounts on social media, but Pakistan will continue this war for its survival and the safety of its people.
