Pakistan Stock Exchange: 100 Index Gain 574 Points

Karach: Today’s trading day at the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) was good; the benchmark 100 index rose 574 points. Reflecting growing investor confidence, the 100 Index finished at 114,804 points at the end of trade.

The 100 Index changed within a range of 1,208 points throughout the trading session, reaching its maximum at 115,044 points.

Today, 580 million shares were exchanged overall, valued at PKR 32.50 billion. But market capitalization showed a fall, from PKR 139 billion to PKR 14,222 billion.

Experts credit investor hope about government economic policies and continuous engagement with foreign financial institutions for the favorable trend. Although the increasing momentum of today has given hope for the market, volatility is likely to linger in the next few days.
