Pakistan Stock Exchange sees sharp decline, index closes at 154,440 after falling 1,700 points

Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) saw a sharp decline today, at the end of the trading day, the PSX 100 index closed at 154,440 points after falling 1,701 points or 1.09 percent. Yesterday, the index closed at 156,141 points.

Similarly, the financial volume also shrank to Rs 39.911 billion, which was Rs 50.207 billion a day earlier.

Shares of 476 companies were traded in the market today, out of which 180 companies saw an increase in share prices, 263 companies saw a decrease in share prices, while 33 companies remained stable.
