Good news! Petrol likely to become cheaper from October 16, public may get relief

Good news for the public! Prices of petroleum products are expected to decrease from October 16, which may reduce inflationary pressure to some extent.

According to sources, the price of petrol is likely to decrease by Rs 6.10 per liter, while the price of high-speed diesel may decrease by 97 paise per liter.

Similarly, the price of kerosene is expected to decrease by Rs 2.75 and light diesel oil by Rs 1.64 per liter.

Sources said that the petroleum industry has completed its details and calculations and submitted them to OGRA. OGRA will send this summary to the Ministry of Finance this evening through the Petroleum Division.

The Ministry of Finance will give final approval to the new prices tomorrow after consulting the Prime Minister. If this reduction is approved, the public can get good news in the middle of this month.
