The government has revised the prices of petroleum products for October 8.
According to the notification, the price of petrol has increased by Rs 1.82 per liter, after which the new price has been fixed at Rs 396.65 per liter.
On the other hand, diesel has become 91 paise per liter cheaper, and its new price is Rs 394.94 per liter.
The new prices will be effective from October 8. The change in petrol and diesel rates may affect the travel expenses of citizens as well as transport and business costs.
