Islamabad: Good news for investors: the National Savings Center has announced the new results of the Rs 200 bond draw. This time, luck once again brought smiles to some faces in the draw.
The biggest prize of Rs 750,000 went to the lucky winner with bond number 774331, who achieved extraordinary success for a modest investment. Five other people won second prizes, whose bond numbers are 097127, 265610, 464840, 976082, and 978550; all of them will be given Rs 2.5 lakh each.
In addition, about 2,400 people will be given Rs 1,250 each as third prize. The complete list will be released on the National Savings Bank website and offices soon.
The draw was completed in a transparent manner under the supervision of the State Bank, which is a positive message for small-scale investors in the country. Bondholders can get their reward in any branch of National Savings and State Bank of Pakistan by showing its original bond along with CNIC within six years of the draw. However, tax is applicable on the prize money as per legal requirements: 15% for filers and 35% for non-filers.
