Karachi: The mixed trend at the beginning of the trading week at the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) suddenly took the form of a huge rally and the 100 index crossed the 1,48,000 point mark for the first time. The overall market recorded a gain of 1,704 points due to strong investor confidence and better performance, after which the 100 index closed at 148,196 points.
At one point during the trading session, the index also touched a high of 148,395 points.
It should be noted that the market closed at 146,491 points due to a negative trend at the end of trading on the last day of last week.
According to market experts, budget measures and positive expectations of economic stability have renewed investor confidence, the impact of which is being seen directly on share prices.
