Investors cautious in PSX, slight decline in 100 index

Investors appeared cautious at the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) at the start of the business week. After the previous two-day rally, the trend of profit-taking prevailed in the market today, due to which the index recorded a decline.

Yesterday, the 100 index crossed the psychological threshold of 157,000 points for the first time, but after a decline of 121 points during trading on Wednesday, the index closed at 156,441 points.

Economists say that the market was under pressure today due to the sale of shares by investors, however, the stock market has a positive trend on a long-term basis. Signs of improvement in the economy are proving helpful in restoring investor confidence.
