The Pakistan Stock Exchange witnessed a huge rally on the second day of the trading week, as a result of which the 100 index crossed the 157,000-point mark, creating a new record.
The market was mixed at the start of trading, however, at the end of the day, the 100 index recorded an increase of 476 points due to investor confidence.
During trading, the benchmark index reached a high of 157,088 points at one point, while the lowest level during the day was recorded at 155,044 points.
More than 1.6 billion shares were traded in the market today, with a total value exceeding Rs 55 billion.
It may be recalled that the 100 index closed at 156,087 points at the end of trading yesterday.
