Economy on the path of recovery, crypto mining and digital investment under consideration: Muhammad Aurangzeb

Islamabad: Federal Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has said that Pakistan’s economy is gradually improving and the process of reforms is underway. According to him, 10 to 15 percent of the country’s population is already benefiting from digital business and the trend of digital assets will increase significantly in the near future.

He stressed that bringing transparency in digital investment is the need of the hour as Pakistan’s banking system is complex compared to other countries.  He said that the government is working on further improving the regulations to facilitate investors.

Muhammad Aurangzeb added that the possibilities of crypto mining are also under consideration and a crypto council has been established for this purpose. According to him, the lifeline of the country’s economy is foreign exchange, in which agriculture, IT and freelancing can play a significant role. In the current situation, the country has surplus energy that needs to be utilized.
