Fuel price hiked, diesel price hiked, strike news declared false

After the government hiked the prices of petroleum products, the public will face another economic pressure, while the authorities have denied any disruption in fuel supply.

According to the Petroleum Division Pakistan, the price of high-speed diesel has been increased by Rs 19.39 per litre, after which the new price has become Rs 399.58.

Similarly, the price of petrol has also been increased by Rs 6.51, after which the new price has been set at Rs 399.86 per liter.

Officials say the new prices will come into effect after 12 midnight tonight, which is expected to increase transportation costs and prices of essential commodities.

Meanwhile, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority has dismissed reports of a strike by petrol dealers circulating on social media as baseless, saying that no organisation has announced a strike.

The Petroleum Division Pakistan has also clarified that reports of petrol pump closures are false and supply will continue uninterrupted across the country.
