Gold prices set a record high in Pakistan, rising to PKR 52,600 per tola in 2024

Karachi: In Pakistan, there was a steep rise in the gold rates in the year 2024, with the extra PKR 52,600 to a tola. Upon the year ending, it was revealed that one tola of gold costs PKR 272,600 only.

The highest price considered in the research was PKR 287,900 per tola, and the lowest price is PKR 210,800 per tola.

Internationally, the price of gold rose by $552 an ounce to close the year at $2,614 an ounce, an overall yearly rise of 26.7%. Globally, gold oscillated around $774, reaching the highest price per ounce of 2784 in 2024, while the lowest was at $2010.

This increase in the price of gold both locally and internationally is also one more signal that people will always cherish this metal at any form of economic hardship in any part of the world.
