The Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) has announced an extension of the airspace ban imposed on Indian-registered aircraft, under which the ban will remain in place until the morning of July 24.
According to the PAA, the use of Pakistani airspace by Indian civil and military aircraft was closed from 5:50 pm on June 16, and now the period of this ban has been extended until 4:59 am on July 24.
This decision has come at a time when the air and security situation in the region is being continuously monitored. According to officials, such measures are taken under the requirements of airspace management and national security.
According to the Pakistan Airports Authority, no Indian-registered civil or military aircraft will be allowed to use Pakistani airspace during the ban.
According to aviation experts, such restrictions can sometimes affect international air routes, however, air traffic continues as usual through alternative routes.
Officials say that decisions regarding airspace are made after assessing the situation and consulting relevant agencies to maintain national security and air discipline.
