Iran Signals Tough Response to Any Attack on Strategic Oil Infrastructure

The rising tension between Iran and the US has once again created uncertainty in the Middle East, with Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf warning US President Donald Trump that wrong strategies and emotional decisions could push the entire region into a new crisis.

Qalibaf’s statement comes at a time when reports are circulating that US President Donald Trump is taking a tough stance on Iran’s most important oil hub, Kharg Island. Kharg Island is considered the main hub of Iran’s oil exports and its role in the country’s energy economy is very important.

In a statement released on social media platform X, the Iranian Parliament Speaker said that “wrong strategies and hasty decisions can further spoil the whole game, explode energy infrastructure and global markets, and create an endless quagmire in which the US will be trapped for years.”

He added that if any kind of aggressive action is taken against Iran, the world will see a different Iran. According to observers, this statement is a clear diplomatic and strategic message from Iran to Washington.

Regional affairs experts say that any kind of threat to Kharg Island can have serious consequences not only for Iran but also for global energy markets. Iran’s role in the global supply of crude oil is considered important and any military tension in the Persian Gulf can lead to a sudden increase in oil prices.

According to analysts, recent statements indicate that Iran is not ready to show any flexibility on its oil installations and national security issues. On the other hand, the United States and its allies are trying to maintain their security priorities in the region, which is likely to further increase tensions.

Diplomatic circles believe that in the current situation, avoiding direct confrontation and preferring the path of negotiations would be in the interests of all parties. The Middle East is already embroiled in multiple conflicts, and a new escalation could have a negative impact on the global economy, energy supplies, and international trade.

Experts are warning that if the war of words turns into action, the effects will not be limited to Iran and the United States, but the entire region could suffer the consequences. That is why the international community is closely monitoring the situation and is emphasizing efforts to reduce tensions.
