Iran-US Tensions: Diplomatic Talks Begin in Shadow of Military Blockade

While President Trump has warned of a naval blockade of Iran and tough military action, US officials have confirmed diplomatic contacts with Tehran.

According to US media, a senior official has said that talks are underway between the two countries for a possible agreement, the aim of which is to find a peaceful solution to the crisis.

Interestingly, news of these talks has come to light after recent contacts in Pakistan.

Experts say that although military pressure remains, keeping diplomatic channels open could lead to a major breakthrough, but a formal meeting of delegations is still a question mark.
