To address global energy volatility, Pakistan has increased LPG, crude oil, and diesel reserves to ensure stable supply for domestic and industrial users.
In view of the uncertainty and price fluctuations in the global energy market, the government has increased the reserves of LPG and other fuels.
According to officials of the Ministry of Petroleum, 18 metric tonnes of LPG reserves have been completed for June. These reserves will play an important role in meeting the needs of domestic consumers as well as the industrial sector.
Officials said that due to the volatility in energy prices in the global market, the government has taken proactive measures to avoid a shortage of gas and fuel in the country. Maintaining a stable supply of LPG in particular is among the government’s priorities.
Along with this, reserves of crude oil and diesel have also been secured to keep the entire energy system balanced. The management of 446 metric tonnes of crude oil and 201 metric tonnes of diesel is part of this strategy.
Officials say that moving towards self-sufficiency in the energy sector is the need of the hour. The government is not only dealing with the current crises but is also formulating a comprehensive energy policy for the future.
It was further informed that the energy supply chain is being continuously monitored and all institutions have been put on high alert. The system has been kept active for immediate response in any unusual situation.
The government has made it clear that if the situation in the region improves, Pakistan will initiate long-term investment and reforms in the energy sector, the aim of which is to ensure a stable supply of energy.
According to experts, these measures will prove important for energy stability and industrial development in the country, especially at a time when the global market is facing uncertainty.
