Magnificent Independence Day ceremony in Lahore, Maryam Nawaz pays tribute to martyrs and Pakistani forces

Lahore: The scene of the main Independence Day ceremony in Lahore was full of happiness, colors and national spirit. The special guest of the ceremony held in the provincial capital was Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, who in her emotional speech saluted the martyrs, forces and the people of Pakistan. She said that August 14 is not just a day of happiness but also a day to remember those brave people who sacrificed their lives for the country.

Maryam Nawaz said that this day is in the name of those mothers, widows and children who sacrificed their loved ones to protect the country. She appreciated the sacrifices and services of the Pakistani armed forces and paid tribute to Field Marshal Asim Munir and the Air Chief, under whose leadership Pakistan achieved amazing successes.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister of Punjab reiterated the country’s commitment to economic revival and said that now the war will be against poverty and ignorance, and no effort will be left to make Pakistan economically strong. The atmosphere of Lahore city echoed with national flags, lamps and slogans of freedom, and the enthusiasm of the people was visible.
