Pakistan Condemns Israeli Aggression on Iran

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Foreign Office strongly condemned Israel’s military aggression against Iran, calling it a grave violation of Iranian sovereignty and international law. During the weekly media briefing, the Foreign Office spokesperson said that Israel’s action undermines regional stability and peace. He stressed Iran’s right to self-defense under the UN Charter.

The spokesperson also highlighted that 21 Muslim countries, through a joint statement, collectively rejected Israel’s actions, calling the aggression illegal and dangerous to wider peace. She said that Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar has contacted the foreign ministers of Iran, Turkey, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, and the United Kingdom to address the escalating tensions and advocate for a de-escalation.

Regarding Palestine, Ishaq Dar attended a recent meeting to review humanitarian assistance to the Palestinians and called for scaling up relief efforts. On the Kashmir front, the spokesperson condemned India’s continued crackdown on religious freedoms of Kashmiris, including the ban on Eid prayers in Srinagar for the seventh consecutive year. He stressed that political leaders in Indian-occupied Kashmir were being held in detention without justification.

He reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to strong bilateral relations with Iran and dismissed rumors of a regime change as baseless. The Foreign Office also confirmed that over 3,000 Pakistani nationals stranded in Iran have been safely repatriated with the help of consulates in Tehran, Mashhad, and Zahedan.
