Pakistan defeats France to make it to the final of the Nations Hockey Cup

Kuala Lumpur: In the semi-final of the Nations Hockey Cup 2024, Pakistan defeated France in a thrilling penalty shootout to make it to the final of the event.

The score between the two teams was 3-3 at the end of the scheduled time in this very important match played in the Malaysian capital. In the first two quarters, the Pakistan team looked in trouble and France took a two-goal lead. However, in the third quarter, Pakistan made a brilliant comeback and scored three goals, two goals scored by Rana Waheed Ashraf and one goal by Sufyan Muqeem.

France scored another goal in the fourth quarter to level the match, after which the decision was made on penalty shootouts, where Pakistan prevailed and reached the final.

Pakistan has now reached the final of the event, which will be played on June 21. The second semi-final of the event will be between Korea and New Zealand. The winner will get a chance to play in the Pro Hockey League 2025, which will be considered a great achievement at the international level.
