Pakistan Stock Exchange sees decline; 100 index falls 826 points

Karachi: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) witnessed a negative trend on Wednesday, the third day of the trading week, due to which the market rally stopped and the 100 index fell below the 133,000 level again.

The 100 index recorded a decline of 826 points during trading, after which the index closed at 132,576 points. At one point during trading, the index was also seen at a high of 133,566 points; however, this level could not be maintained till the end of the day.

The index closed at 133,403 points at the end of trading yesterday.

According to experts, this decline in the market may be the result of cautious behavior of investors, economic uncertainty, and concerns about the upcoming budget.
