Pakistanis Can Now Apply for Swedish Schengen Visas from July 7

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Foreign Office spokesperson announced a major breakthrough in visa facilitation with Sweden, allowing Pakistani citizens to apply for Schengen visas for Sweden directly from July 7, 2025. This development follows recent political consultations between the two nations in Stockholm.

During these consultations, led by Pakistan’s Additional Foreign Secretary and Sweden’s Director General of International Affairs, detailed discussions on consular and visa matters took place. The outcome is this significant step forward, which will enable Pakistanis seeking short stays of up to three months to apply for Swedish visas.

This new facility caters to individuals traveling to Sweden for various short-term purposes, including tourism, business meetings, and other brief visits. The Foreign Office views this as a highly positive move, expected to significantly boost people-to-people contacts, tourism, educational exchanges, and business ties between Pakistan and Sweden.
