Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar said that Pakistan has emerged as a major force for peace and diplomacy, adding that efforts to promote regional stability have improved the country’s international standing.
Speaking to the media in Lahore, Dar said that Pakistan played a constructive role in efforts to reduce tensions in the region and the country’s diplomatic initiatives have been appreciated internationally.
He credited Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s leadership for strengthening Pakistan’s position globally and said that the government is committed to supporting peace and dialogue in international affairs.
“Pakistan’s name is being appreciated all over the world for its positive role in promoting peace,” Dar said, adding that the country has demonstrated responsible leadership during regional tensions.
The foreign minister also praised Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir’s efforts for regional stability, saying that Pakistan’s civil and military leadership worked together to encourage peaceful resolution of conflicts.
Dar said that Pakistan’s rising diplomatic profile reflects the international community’s confidence in the country’s ability to play a constructive role in global and regional affairs.
He added that Pakistan has been bestowed with a unique position in the international community and recent developments have elevated the country’s prestige.
Mentioning Pakistan’s strategic importance, Dar said that the country continues to function as a responsible nuclear state committed to peace, stability and cooperation.
The foreign minister stressed that the government will continue to pursue policies of strengthening regional cohesion and promoting dialogue for the resolution of disputes.
His remarks came amid ongoing discussions about Pakistan’s diplomatic engagements in regional and international affairs, with officials highlighting the country’s efforts to support peace and stability through dialogue and cooperation.
