Petrol expensive due to global market, other fuels cheaper

Due to fluctuations in oil prices in the global market and the tense situation in the region, there has been a major change in the prices of petroleum products in Pakistan once again.

The Ministry of Petroleum issued a notification of new prices after the approval of the Prime Minister, under which petrol and diesel have become expensive while many other products have been made cheaper.

According to Petroleum Minister Ali Pervez Malik, oil prices are rising again in the global market, due to which the government had to take this difficult decision.

He said that the government has tried to withstand global pressure as much as possible.

According to the new prices, petrol has increased by Rs 26.77 to Rs 393.35 per liter and diesel has become Rs 380.19 per liter. In contrast, the prices of kerosene, light diesel and jet fuel have been significantly reduced, which is being described as a relief for the public at the government level.

Officials say that these new prices will be applicable for a week, while future prices will be determined by looking at global market trends.

According to the government, this policy is necessary to maintain balance so that global pressure on one hand and public relief on the other can be taken together.
